Why Lucy just needed a break
Today Lucy Howarth, aged 6, eloquently expressed the nations feelings about this election campaign during story time with David Cameron.
The prime minister broke off from the election campaign to read to some children at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Primary School in Westhoughton, near Bolton but he quickly lost his young audience.
ITV report that Lucy was listening to the Conservative Party leader read The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch to her and classmate Will Spibey, five, when she decided to take a little time out and lay her head on top of the book.
Unflustered, Mr Cameron sympathised that the book’s plot, which features a princess rescuing a ungrateful prince from a dragon, was rather “complicated”.
I especially like the shocked and delighted expression from the little boy on the right.
