Nigel Farage is getting a lot of flack for not turning up to a pub in Grimsby

The Ukip leader had intended to try out a beer named “Fraageale” in his honour but failed to turn up when other commitments ran over.

He has frustrated journalists, activists and voters who were waiting at the pub for a chance to meet him and catch up on the campaign trail news.

One journalist reports that the those when the press pack followed to the next stop they found out they had been given the address of the wrong ice cream parlour by Ukip’s campaign managers.

Earlier in the day Mr Farage went on a boat trip with Joey Essex from TOWIE. He has now left Grimsby for south Lincolnshire.

So. Nigel Farage preferred to have lunch with a celebrity called Joey Essex than have a beer with supporters in a pub in Grimsby. Rubbish.
