George Osborne: I have already ‘jacked up’ charges on non doms to get more money out of them

George Osborne tells Michael Crick that Labour have been in a “total shambles” over their new policy to abolish the non dom tax status and says “the majority of non doms are not affected at all” by the new proposal.

The chancellor says that the coaliton has cracked down on non doms and says he has just “jacked up” the charges to “get more money out of them”.

Labour say their policy of abolishing non doms altogether will raise hundreds of millions.
