Gary Gibbon: Labour to commit to increase in all tax credits
Gary Gibbon is in Manchester with this update:
Labour is committing to inflation increases in all tax credits throughout the next parliament. It says that will be paid for from the existing welfare budget which, Labour says, it can do as it is not focusing cuts on welfare like the Tories.
Media section has this line: “No one media owner should be allowed to exert undue influence” … That’ll keep up poor relations with certain media outlets. It also, incidentally, commits to keeping Channel 4 in the public sector.
