Ed Miliband tells crowd not to boo journalists

Ed marshalling crowd rather well to stop them booing journalists. Maybe he could take over from Bercow if he loses the election

There have been issues at other events when journalists from the FT to the BBC have been booed by Labour activits when they ask questions at official events.

He says: “Whats really important about the country that we believe in is that we have a press that asks difficult questions and it is important that we hear these questions respectfully because it is who we are as a country, so I am going to turn to our friends from the media.

He adds: “Just for the record – it wasn’t just the media applauding what I said there.”
