Nick Clegg ‘will not veto EU referendum’
The Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg has removed one of the obstacles to a second coalition with the Tories by refusing to rule out an “in-out” referendum on EU membership, reports the Guardian’s front page, the day after the party launched its election manifesto.

Mr Clegg will instead try to push the Conservatives back on plans to cut welfare by £12bn, the paper says.
