Conservative parliamentary candidate saves tortoise
The Southern Daily Echo has my favourite political story of the day. Caroline Nokes, the Conservative candidate in Hampshire, has reunited a lost tortoise with its owner after coming across the reptile on the campaign trail.
She stumbled across Peggy Sue while campaigning and posted pictures of him to social media. Later that day she was reunited with Loraine… who lives 20 metres from where the tortoise was found.
She had been missing since October and is now reunited with her friend Buddy.
