Nigel Farage on track in South Thanet?
A new poll by Survation, carried out for major Ukip donor Alan Brown, finds that Nigel Farage is on course to win the South Thanet seat with 39 per cent of support, compared to his nearest rival, Conservative Craig Mackinlay, on 30 per cent.

In November, a Lord Ashcroft poll found Mr Farage trailing his Conservative counterpart by one point.
If such a turnaround transpires, how has it been achieved? The Survation poll sheds some insight.

The polling shows a major effort by Mr Farage’s team to succeed in South Thanet – it suggests Nigel Farage has met as many of South Thanet’s potential voters as the Labour and Conservative candidates combined.
There also appears to be double the effort at knocking on doors and calling voters.
