Glasgow pensioner puts £30k on a Conservative majority

According to Ladbrokes a man in Glasgow, who Ladbrokes describe as a retired accountant who is described by staff as ‘well-groomed, wealthy and well-informed’ placed the bet in a city centre branch this afternoon.

The bookmakers say that he first inquired about the odds and then pulled £30,000 in cash, all in £50 notes, out of his pocket and placed the bet on a Cameron straight win at odds of 7/1.
