The Green’s think they have a big chance in Bristol West.

The constituency covers the city centre from the the affluent suburb of Cotham right down to the deprived St Pauls and Easton taking in the hipster Stokes Croft and Montpelier. In the part the campaign was an intense race between Lib Dem and Labour.

Lib Dem hold it now with a majority of 11,366 but the candidate Stephen Williams was really hurt on tutition fees – full-time students are estimated to make up 24% of the adult population here

Now it is the Green party’s second key target seat after Brighton Pavilion. In Bristol, among students at least, their campaign has muddied the waters of what was an intense Lib Dem/Labour race.

From these pictures it doesn’t look like they are being mobbed on this windy, rainy West Country day.
