Simon Hughes, Lib Dem minister, loses his seat
Labour win 22,146 votes to 17,657 for the Lib Dems in Bermondsey and Old Southwark. The Lib Dems have said that the voters will be kinder to their incumbent MPs because they are popular locally and work hard on the ground. This has not been borne out tonight.
