Boris Johnson becomes an MP again
Boris Johnson wins with 22,511 votes in Uxbridge. A majority of 10,695. Labour came second with 11,816.
He thanks his wife Marina saying that he has just remembered it is their wedding anniversary today.
He says that the public have “rejected any attempt to take this country back to the 1970s”. He is heckled by fellow a candidate who shouts “they want change”.
He adds he will lie down in front of the bulldozers to stop the third runway at Heathrow.
