Lord Ashdown: I’ll now have to eat my hat

Lord Ashdown has told BBC Somerset it’s been a “bitter, painful and cruel” night for the Liberal Democrats.

He has also conceded that he “now has to eat his hat” after making a rash wager to do just that after the exit poll came in last night at 10pm.
