Baroness Stowell is leader of the House of Lords

Baroness Stowell was promoted to this position in July 2014 when her appointment sparked a row about pay equality when it emerged she was being paid less from public funds than her predecessor Lord Hill, due to other changes in the cabinet.

She has now been been promoted to a member of the cabinet.
