12 hours to register to vote
To vote at the UK general election on Thursday 7 May, you must register to vote by today, Monday 20 April.
In England, Scotland or Wales, you can register to vote online at gov.uk/register-to-vote.
In Northern Ireland, visit our Register to vote in Northern Ireland page to download a registration form.
It takes about 5 minutes and you will need you national insurance number.
If you don’t do it, you won’t be allowed to vote.
